My Treatment Approach

I work with a wide range of emotional issues providing services that span from individual therapy to group therapy.  In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to your individual needs to help attain the personal growth for which you are striving.

I will always meet you with kindness, fairness, and without judgment.

I believe that psychotherapy is a collaboration between me and you.  For therapy to be most effective, we both must be active and engaged participants.

As you begin to develop trust, I continue to focus on understanding your personal history; the meaning you make of your life; identify unhealthy or negative behaviors or thought patterns that may be impeding your growth; and offering new or different perspectives to your present experiences.

It is important to note that psychotherapy can have benefits and risks. Since therapy often involves discussing unpleasant aspects of your life, you may experience uncomfortable feelings like sadness, guilt, anger, frustration, loneliness, and helplessness. You may decide to make changes that might impact your current relationships.

On the other hand, psychotherapy has also been shown to have many, many benefits. Therapy often leads to better relationships, solutions to specific problems, and significant reductions in feelings of distress. But there are no guarantees of what you will experience.

Following a 50-minute Consultation Session, a series of weekly appointments are customarily scheduled with each session lasting 50 minutes.  More frequent appointments are also possible as are sessions lasting longer than 50 minutes.
